Handelsbanken Sustainable Finance is a team within Handelsbanken Debt Capital Markets (DCM), which is an integral part of the investment bank. The DCM department comprises of around 50 experts providing specialized financing solutions, primarily to corporate and real estate customers. Our product offering ranges from bilateral and syndicated loans to the arrangement of corporate bonds and commercial paper programs for our Swedish and international clients. Our capabilities in sustainable finance, debt structuring, and other advisory services are crucial in providing complete and tailored financing solutions to our customers.
Sustainability is a vital part of Handelsbanken’s business model. DCM is an established Sustainable Finance advisor to companies and institutions since many years and has led the work on many recognized green and sustainable financing frameworks and transactions in the Nordic region.
We are looking for an off-cycle intern to join our Sustainable Finance team at the Stockholm Office in the autumn. Applicants are to be available from start of September 2026 and the internship intends to cover a full semester.
What we offer
As an intern at Handelsbanken DCM Sustainable Finance team you will gain experience from different sustainable financing projects for various clients in different sectors working with products such as green bonds and green loans as well as sustainability-linked bonds and sustainability-linked loans. You will support the Sustainable Finance team with company and market analysis, analyzing qualitative and quantitative sustainability information and preparing presentation material.

We encourage students with different academic backgrounds to apply. You should have 1-2 semesters remaining until graduation from a three-year program, or 1-4 semesters remaining of a five-year program. Previous work experience in investment banking and sustainability is an advantage.
