Content Creator & Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on Content Creator & Social Media Specialist to join our Scandic Go marketing team and help drive engagement, reach and growth across our prioritized social media channels.

This is a creative and operational role with a strong focus on content production. You will create social-first content, manage social media platforms, support campaigns and make sure our content is relevant, on brand and adapted to each platform and audience.

About the role

As Content Creator & Social Media Specialist, you will plan, create and publish engaging content across our prioritized social media platforms. You will work with both organic and paid social media activities, support campaign execution and collaborate with internal teams, hotels, agencies and influencer partners.

You should be comfortable producing short-form video, photography, interviews, copy, stories, reels and platform-adapted content. You will also use AI-based tools to support ideation, content creation and scaling of social media assets, while ensuring quality and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, Create and publish content across prioritized social media platforms
  • Produce social-first content such as video, photography, copy, stories and reels
  • Use AI-based tools to support content creation, ideation and design
  • Manage social media accounts and keep profiles updated
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions in collaboration with PR and Communications
  • Follow trends, platform updates and competitor activity to identify content opportunities
  • Support organic and paid social media campaigns, including contests, giveaways and promotional activities
  • Set up, publish and manage paid social campaigns in relevant advertising platforms
  • Coordinate influencer campaigns together with agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor content performance and share insights for reporting and commercial follow-up
  • Support the Head of Marketing Scandic Go with ad-hoc marketing, content and campaign-related tasks when needed

What we are looking for

We believe you are a self-driven content creator, structured and hands-on content creator who understands what works in social media. You enjoy producing content yourself, but you are also comfortable coordinating campaigns, working with agencies and managing several channels and stakeholders at the same time.

You are curious about trends, platform development and new tools, including AI-supported content creation. You understand how social media content can support both brand engagement and business growth.

Employment

This is a 6-month project employment, based at our head office on Sveavägen 167 in Stockholm and includes some travel to our hotels and markets.

Skills & Requirements

Competence and experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in social media, content creation or a similar role
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English
  • Experience creating social-first content such as short-form video, photography, stories and reels
  • Good understanding of social media platforms, formats and scheduling tools
  • Experience with tools such as Falcon/Brandwatch or similar platforms is a plus
  • Basic graphic design skills, for example in Canva
  • Understanding of social media analytics and performance follow-up
  • Ability to manage several campaigns, channels and stakeholders at the same time
  • Experience with paid social, influencers and agency collaboration is an advantage
