
Are you passionate about fit, patterns, garment quality, and digital product development? Kappahl Far East Ltd is looking for a Technician to join our production office in Bangladesh. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with suppliers, production teams, and head office colleagues to support product development, sample approval, and sustainable ways of working.
About the opportunity
In this role, you will help ensure that samples, fit, measurements, quality, workmanship, and technical solutions meet Kappahl Group standards. You will support local sample handling and work proactively to improve lead times, supplier performance, and collaboration between the Bangladesh production office and the head office.
A key part of the position is using strong technical knowledge together with mandatory 3D CLO expertise to support virtual garment development, fit review, pattern input, and reduced physical sample dependency.
What you’ll do
· Review and follow up samples for fit, measurements, quality, workmanship, and production feasibility.
· Use 3D CLO knowledge to support virtual fit review, garment development, and technical communication.
· Support patternmakers with pattern comments, development input, and technical solutions.
· Work closely with suppliers to improve fit, quality, sample performance, and lead times.
· Identify supplier weak points and support them in meeting Kappahl’s requirements.
· Contribute to more sustainable ways of working, including reduced physical sampling and improved production techniques.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patterns, fit, garment construction, and quality. You have at least 4–5 years of experience in a similar technical role, along with education in pattern making, textile engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Must-have requirement: Strong working knowledge of 3D CLO is required. Candidates must be able to apply 3D CLO in virtual sample review, fit evaluation, pattern development support, and technical communication.
You are structured, solution-oriented, and confident in taking initiative. You enjoy working in a changing environment and communicate clearly with suppliers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
You are fluent in Bangla and English, both spoken and written, and recognize yourself in Kappahl Group values: Inclusive, Courageous, and Joyful.
Must-have qualifications
· Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a garment technician or in a similar technical role.
· Education in pattern making, textile engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
· Strong working knowledge of 3D CLO.
· Strong knowledge of fit, measurements, pattern correction, garment construction, quality, and workmanship.
· Experience with CAD programs or similar technical tools.
· Good production knowledge and experience working with suppliers, factories, or buying/liaison offices.
· Fluent communication skills in Bangla and English, both written and spoken.
