The Network Strategy & Solutions department is shaping Tre’s technical development across our Swedish and Danish networks. We are in an exciting phase where long-term network strategy meets the next generation of mobile technology, from 5G Standalone and future RAN functionality to AI-enabled and autonomous networks. Now we are looking for a leader who can help turn this strategic agenda into clear direction, strong execution and lasting impact.
About the role As Team Manager Network Strategy & Device, you will lead one of the most senior specialist teams in our technology organisation. The team works at the heart of mobile network evolution, with responsibilities spanning RAN strategy, network evolution, future 5G functionality, device-related quality assurance and close collaboration between Sweden and Denmark.
This is a role for a strong people manager who understands telecom and knows how to lead experts. You will have full people responsibility from day one, including goals, development, follow-up and competence growth. Your mission is to create structure, direction and priorities in a highly skilled team, while ensuring that specialist knowledge continues to thrive.
A key part of the role is to translate strategy into execution. You will help the team focus on the areas that matter most for Tre’s future network development, including RAN strategy and network evolution, 5G Standalone and future network functionality, network slicing and traffic differentiation, as well as AI and autonomous networks.
You will work closely with Access Networks in Sweden and Denmark, radio planning, core, transmission, commercial stakeholders and external partners such as RAN and device vendors. You will also be part of the Network Strategy & Solutions leadership context, contributing to the wider technology agenda and helping us connect network capabilities to customer value and business impact.
You can look forward to:
• Leading one of the industry’s most experienced and knowledgeable specialist teams
• Having a real opportunity to influence the future mobile networks in Sweden and Denmark
• Driving development within 5G SA, AI and autonomous networks
• Working in a strategic area where technology, customer experience and business value meet
• Be part of one of Sweden’s best workplaces (Great Place to Work 2026)
This is how the hiring manager, Peter, describes his leadership style:
"For me, leadership is about being present, supportive, and creating the right conditions for the team to succeed together. I believe in the power of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Psychological safety is a key foundation for high performance, while I also place great importance on clear goals, expectations, and results. When we support one another, embrace different perspectives, and work towards a shared vision, we achieve the best outcomes.”
Who are you?
We believe you are a confident and engaging people leader with experience from leading specialists in a complex technical environment. You know how to create trust, direction and momentum in teams where the expertise is deep and the individuals are highly independent. You bring clarity without micromanaging and structure without slowing down innovation.
You have a solid understanding of telecom, preferably mobile networks and RAN, and you are comfortable discussing technology with senior experts and stakeholders. You do not need to be the deepest technical specialist in every area, but you need enough domain understanding to ask the right questions, challenge priorities and earn credibility in the room. A deeper technical background within RAN, 4G/5G, 5G SA, network evolution, slicing or autonomous networks is highly valued.
As a person, you are structured, communicative and business-oriented. You can translate strategic direction into practical priorities, align stakeholders across Sweden and Denmark and help a senior team lift its perspective from individual deliveries to the broader technology and business goals. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and you are willing to be based in Stockholm with regular presence and travel to Denmark. If you are proficient in Swedish, it will be considered an advantage.
