We are currently hiring a Staff/Lead Product Designer (B2C) to be based in Finland

Your mission at Epassi
Hundreds of thousands of people in Finland use their wellbeing and lunch benefits through the Epassi app. You'll own its design direction: helping the team to decide which user problems matter, lifting conversion, deepening engagement, and getting more people to use the benefits they already have.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Own the design direction for the Nordic B2C experience
  • Hands-on: create accessible interfaces with a high visual bar
  • Build and grow the design system the Nordic B2C runs on and align it towards the global one
  • Decide with data, from analytics and user testing to experiments that show what moves the numbers
  • Run your own research, from explorative interviews to usability testing

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Conversion, engagement, and benefit usage go up, and you can show how your design decisions got them there
  • The designers and other colleagues around you do better work because you're on the team
  • You adopt new ways of working (e.g. with AI) quickly and take an initiative to improve collaboration and processes even further.

What you’ll be doing (daily):

  • Reading live metrics and heatmaps to see where people drop off and discussing those with the product manager.
  • Running and planning research with your users.
  • Running a workshop to get product, engineering, and the local stakeholders to a shared direction
  • Prototyping and creating deliverables with AI tools like Claude Code, but also Figma
  • Doing a critique session with the design team

What you should bring:

  • Several (8-10+) years designing B2C consumer products, especially mobile apps in e-commerce, Fintech or similar.
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills
  • Confidence with product analytics and experimentation
  • Service design experience, designing journeys that potentially cross multiple channels
  • An eye on the business: how design moves conversion, retention, and revenue
  • Comfort working with ambiguity

Your language profile:

  • Finnish (to be able to run research in the Finnish market)
  • English, our working language

Your track record:

  • You have improved conversion or engagement metrics of a major consumer product.
  • You have worked on a same product for long enough to see how your early decisions impact the next iteration
  • You have influenced major product or business decisions with your evidence or solution proposal.

Your competency profile:

  • Problem framing. You define the right problem before moving to solutions, and you can tell which user problems are worth solving. You bring clarity into the discussions.
  • Evidence-led judgment. You let data, research, and experiments inform your decisions, and you know when the evidence is strong enough to act on and when it isn't.
  • Systems thinking. You see beyond individual screens to the journeys, design system, and business mechanics underneath, and how one decision affects the wider product.
  • Collaborative leadership. You communicate clearly and build a well-reasoned case for good design, holding your ground when it matters. You bring product, engineering, and stakeholders toward a shared direction.
  • Initiative. You adopt new tools and ways of working readily, and you look for ways to improve how the team operates.
