People Business Partner - 12 months contract

ABOUT THE ROLE

    Schibsted & Vend Polska brings together two leading Nordic companies – Schibsted, a renowned media and digital services company, and Vend, a leading marketplaces business. Together, we support a range of innovative products and brands while creating a strong local presence in Poland.

    As a People Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting Schibsted employees and managers in Poland, ensuring a great employee experience while balancing business needs, local employment practices and People priorities.

    Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, Product, Tech & Subscription, and working closely with the People & Culture Director of Schibsted & Vend Polska, you will be part of both the wider Schibsted People community and the local HR team in Poland.

    While collaborating with colleagues across the wider Schibsted organisation, you will act as a bridge between Schibsted and Schibsted & Vend Polska, helping align Schibsted People priorities with local needs, employment regulations and the employee experience we want to create together.

    This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Although the initial contract is for one year, we're looking for someone to become an integral part of the team, with the possibility of continuing beyond the initial contract, depending on business needs.

    The role is based in Kraków and follows our hybrid way of working, with at least two days a week in the office to collaborate, share ideas and stay connected as a team.

WHAT YOU'll DO:

  • Partner with managers and employees across Schibsted organisations operating through Schibsted & Vend Polska.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance, development and local employment practices.
  • Support managers through organisational changes and people-related decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish labour law and internal People policies.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Contribute to compensation, promotion and talent-related processes.
  • Act as a bridge between Schibsted's People organisation and the local People & Culture team in Poland.
  • Contribute to the development of People practices and initiatives across Schibsted and Schibsted & Vend Polska.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 5+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering or a similar HR role.
  • You have a strong understanding of Polish labour law and local employment practices.
  • You are confident in supporting managers in employee relations, performance and organisational matters.
  • You are comfortable taking ownership and working independently in an international, matrix organisation, balancing local needs with broader business priorities.
  • You build strong relationships and navigate stakeholder needs with confidence.
  • Experience with Workday or another HRIS is an advantage.
  • You are fluent in Polish and English.
  • Knowledge of Swedish or Norwegian would be an advantage.
