Job Description

Our purpose is to secure access to cleaner energy for our customers. We help them navigate the energy transition towards continuously reducing emissions. Our areas of expertise are biogas, liquefied biogas (LBG) natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity markets. We own and operate biogas plants and an extensive network of gas filling stations in the Nordic countries. Our customers include industry and businesses that use a lot of energy as well as maritime and land transport providers.

We are looking for a Business Controller based in our office in Risavika.

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Controller to join our finance team in a growth-oriented energy company. This role is critical in supporting decision-making, improving financial transparency, and driving financial performance.

As a Business Controller, you will help strengthen the decision-making foundation for the company through structured analysis and continuous improvement of reporting and processes.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Deliver high-quality financial analysis, forecasts, and performance reports to support business decisions
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure structured execution of budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
• Develop and improve financial models to support investment decisions
• Collaborate with operational teams to enhance financial performance and efficiency
• Continuously improve reporting frameworks, systems, and processes
• Support strategic initiatives
• Act as a sparring partner to key stakeholders

What we expect from you:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive and self-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the energy sector, accounting/auditing or a similar analytical role
• Experience with ERP systems and financial planning, analysis, and reporting tools
• Understanding of energy markets is an advantage
