The DevOps Engineer will be a key contributor to maintaining, optimizing, and automating the promotional/experimentation platform and its APIs.
This role focuses on ensuring the continued high availability, performance, and security of these critical systems while implementing modern DevOps practices to improve reliability and efficiency. You will be responsible for infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational excellence of the platform within our Central Operations team.
Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our applications and servicesImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate resource provisioning and managementMonitor system performance and implement automated alerting to ensure platform reliability and rapid response to incidentsCollaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processesDesign and implement automated testing frameworks to validate infrastructure changes and configurationsManage and optimize cloud costs while maintaining appropriate service levelsEnhance security posture through implementation of security best practices across infrastructureMaintain documentation of infrastructure components, deployment procedures, and recovery processes
Required
3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering rolesStrong experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, and IAMProficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK)Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similarExperience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)Understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancersExperience with configuration management tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with microservices architecturesKnowledge of database administration (RDS, Redshift)Experience with log management solutions (ELK stack, CloudWatch)Experience with infrastructure security scanning toolsExperience with cloud cost optimization strategiesBackground in software development
