Engineering Manager – Embedded Platform Integration

Job Description

For an innovative international technology company active in the development of advanced embedded systems, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary Platform Integration team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the integration, validation and technical de-risking of next-generation embedded technology platforms. You will lead a team of engineers working at the intersection of hardware, embedded software, system architecture and manufacturing to ensure new platform technologies are mature, robust and ready for product development and industrialization.

This is a strategic leadership position combining people management, technical ownership and cross-functional stakeholder management within a highly innovative R&D environment.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Platform Integration Engineers
• Define and drive integration, validation and technical de-risking strategies for embedded technology platforms
• Coordinate integration activities across hardware, embedded software, system architecture and manufacturing teams
• Ensure early identification and mitigation of technical risks
• Develop integration roadmaps, test strategies and capability demonstration plans
• Drive system-level validation and platform readiness reviews
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure testability and manufacturability requirements are considered from the earliest development phases
• Manage team capacity, resource allocation and budget planning
• Coach and mentor engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Communicate project status, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Your profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or similar
• Experience managing technical engineering teams in an R&D environment
• Strong background in embedded systems, hardware development, embedded software or system integration
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Proven track record in integration, verification, validation or technical risk management activities
• Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to understand interactions between hardware, software and system architecture
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in English

• Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, automotive, rail, defense, etc.)
• Experience with platform-based product development
• Experience defining manufacturing test strategies
• Experience in complex embedded product environments
