IT Support Specialist I
My client located in Edinburg, TX is in need of an IT Support Specialist I. This is a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. Must be willing to work remotely on Saturday mornings.

Our client is a well-established financial services organization serving communities throughout South Texas. The organization operates multiple branch locations and is known for providing a stable work environment, strong employee tenure, and opportunities for career growth. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative IT team supporting approximately 130 employees across multiple locations.

IT Support Specialist I Role
Serve as the primary responder for IT Service Desk tickets and end-user support requests.
Troubleshoot and resolve first-level technical issues including password resets, email issues, website access concerns, and general desktop support.
Monitor, prioritize, and complete service requests in a timely manner.
Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager while providing updates on ticket status.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, printers, terminals, and related hardware.
Install and support end-user software applications.
Provide support within a Microsoft Office 365 environment including Outlook and Active Directory.
Assist users with network access, data backup procedures, and general connectivity issues.
Assist with physical inventory management and tracking of IT equipment across branch locations.
Support approximately 130 employees located across nine facilities.
Collaborate closely with other IT team members to resolve technical issues and support business operations.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to service requests and equipment inventory.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, privacy requirements, and security standards.
Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.

IT Support Specialist I Background Profile
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
2 to 5 years of help desk, desktop support, technical support, or related IT experience.
Experience troubleshooting Windows-based desktop hardware and software.
Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Active Directory environments.
Familiarity with basic Microsoft cloud technologies.
Experience working within a ticketing or help desk environment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to support end users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to work the required hybrid schedule, including remote Saturday support.
