Nordic Sourcing Specialist

We are looking for a commercially driven and proactive Sourcing Specialist to support and optimize sourcing activities across McDonald’s Nordic organization. This role reports to the Sourcing & Category Lead and can be based in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, or Helsinki.

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting category management, supplier performance, and sourcing execution across key areas. You will play an important role in ensuring cost efficiency, operational continuity, and compliance with McDonald’s global standards for sourcing menu ingredients. The role requires translating category insights, supplier interactions, and operational needs into consistent supply, cost control, and long-term value for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous support to the Sourcing & Category Lead in managing categories within scope
  • Deliver timely updates on subcategory performance, risks, and key developments
  • Support and align on price negotiations and commercial decisions
  • Contribute to resolving product-related issues and support critical incident management
  • Manage daily interactions with suppliers across categories
  • Conduct price negotiations within defined authority, aligning with the Lead when required
  • Support supplier lifecycle activities, including onboarding, approvals, and delisting
  • Coordinate promotional activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Support supplier business reviews and drive follow-up actions for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all required documentation, contracts, and agreements are complete and up to date
  • Maintain compliance with sourcing processes, standards, and governance requirements
  • Support Food Folk in securing sustainable ingredient sourcing at predictable cost levels

Skills & Requirements

Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
  • Understanding of commercial procurement within supply chain
  • Experience from foodservice or retail is a strong advantage
  • Strong commercial mindset with analytical and structured approach
  • Self-driven, proactive, and confident in handling supplier interactions and negotiations
  • Persistent, curious, and comfortable asking questions to drive clarity and results
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions
  • Fluency in English and one Nordic language
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
