Are you a strategic negotiator with a passion for telecom infrastructure? We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join the Network Sourcing team within Group Procurement at Tele2.

Within Group Procurement, we aim to be best-in-class across all spend categories and all aspects of procurement, combining ambition with a pragmatic mindset. We ensure competitive pricing across our purchases, mitigate legal and operational risks in our contracts, and build strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers.

In the role of Sourcing Manager, you will report to Jonas Carlsson, Head of Network Sourcing, and play a key role in developing and optimizing our sourcing categories within fixed telecom network infrastructure. Your main focus will be fixed network connectivity—such as dark fiber and capacity services for customer access and network transmission—including international connectivity providers. This is one of our most significant sourcing categories in terms of spend and complexity, with highly critical and sophisticated supplier agreements.

About the job:

As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a strategic role in driving sourcing excellence, optimizing costs, and building strong supplier partnerships. You will take a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing, challenging both internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes for Tele2. This means not only securing competitive terms, but also continuously improving ways of working, commercial structures, and long-term value creation across the category.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for telecom categories, with a focus on fixed network connectivity and fixed network platforms, to secure cost savings, quality, and effective risk management.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead competitive bidding processes (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and manage contract negotiations.
  • Drive value creation through cost optimization, supplier innovation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, resolving escalations and ensuring business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, finance, legal, sustainability) to align sourcing with organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
  • Provide market intelligence, spend analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support, mentor and develop sourcing team members to strengthen organizational capability.

Who are you?
To thrive and succeed in this role we believe that you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience within procurement.
  • Experience of working with sourcing categories related to telecom networks.
  • Experience working with a variety of contract types and pricing models across hardware, software, services, and outsourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience managing sourcing projects.
  • A positive personality with a structured way of working and thrives in building relationships.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and commercial sense.
  • Relevant higher degree from university or similar.

As a person, you thrive in a constantly changing environment and are able to adapt quickly while solving complex problems.
