Are you a curious and skilled Android developer who enjoys building clean, reliable, and meaningful mobile experiences? We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our FSSDK team — the team that builds and maintains the security SDKs behind leading cybersecurity apps used by major global partners. These SDKs power key features that protect millions of users from scams, malware, and other digital threats.

You'll be joining the team at an interesting architectural moment: we're mid-way through a full SDK modularization effort, moving from a legacy monolith toward a clean, bounded module structure. At the same time, the team owns and actively develops a broad range of security and privacy features — Safe WiFi, Identity Monitoring, Antivirus, and Secure DNS among them — so there's no shortage of depth to explore across both architecture and product domains.

This role goes beyond writing Android code. You'll actively collaborate with iOS, backend, quality, and product teams, participate in architectural reviews, and help align SDK development across platforms and partners. Communication and cross-team guidance are as essential here as technical skills.

We work in a hybrid model based in our newly opened Helsinki HQ — designed for modern collaboration and teamworking, complete with a rooftop sauna and a fully equipped gym.

Our estimated salary range for this role is €5,500 to €6,500 per month, based on your experience and skills.


Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain native Android components of the FSSDK using Kotlin and Java, contributing to architectural decisions that simplify legacy flows toward a cleaner, more sustainable SDK structure
  • Collaborate daily with iOS and backend developers to ensure technical consistency and integration quality across platforms, taking an active role in code reviews, cross-team discussions, and architectural evaluations
  • Champion best practices across teams — providing guidance, feedback, and mentoring that influences work beyond your own squad
  • Write unit and integration tests to support high-quality continuous delivery, and investigate and fix bugs across a wide range of device types and partner implementations
  • Support the team in maintaining service-level excellence for Tier 1 partners, sharing learnings on Android development, quality, and architectural approaches
  • Optionally contribute to iOS development depending on your curiosity and growth goals

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience in native Android development using Kotlin and Java, with a solid understanding of design patterns and modern Android architectures
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing and continuous integration, and a passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
  • Ability to influence, review, and guide work across team boundaries — strong communication skills and a natural inclination to mentor and collaborate
  • Experience working in agile development teams and a global environment
  • Full professional proficiency in English

You get bonus points for:

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure), Python, or mobile SDK development
  • Interest in growing into a team leadership role
