Join our Deals team

As a member of PwC:s Deals team, you will support companies and their owners in acquisitions, divestments, restructuring and financing across various industries. We create value for our clients across the entire transaction cycle, helping our clients move in the right direction and deal with complex business opportunities.

Financial Due Diligence and Valuation & Analytics

PwC FDD and V&A offers a wide range of transaction and valuation related services where you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and within various industries. We also provide advice related to business transfers, restructuring and financing.

With about 30 professionals, the Gothenburg FDD/V&A team is the region's largest service provider, offering buy- and sell-side due diligence and valuation services to local, national, and global financial investors and corporations.

We are a team encompassing both FDD and V&A, and we aim to ensure that you have the opportunity to gain experience in both areas.

Financial due diligence comprises, among other things, detailed analysis of a company's earnings, value drivers, cash flows and financial position to support decision-makers to evaluate risks and opportunities inherent in transactions. Read more about FDD.

Valuation and financial analysis include, e.g, corporate valuation, financial modeling, negotiation support for business transactions, preparation of documentation for investment decisions and share-based incentive programs. Read more about V&A.

Your main tasks as a junior analysts at Financial Due Diligence and Valuation & Analytics

  • Build data workflows to enable aggregation and analysis of complex data sets
  • Assist in preparing reports containing key analytical findings
  • Prepare and present business analysis and financial analysis of target companies as well as their markets
  • Work within our valuation models and assist in determining key valuation assumptions
  • Develop, adapt and review financial models for a wide variety of purposes, such as transactions, internal finance functions and advanced portfolio and client analyses

Mergers & Acquisitions/Corporate Finance

A career in our M&A practice will provide you the opportunity to be part of the leading mid market M&A advisor in Sweden. We have completed more transactions than anyone else in the market for 14 consecutive years. We serve as primary financial advisors to entrepreneurs, private equity, and corporate clients throughout the entire divestiture process, from origination to deal completion. As an M&A associate, you are part of project teams of 4-5 individuals and your main tasks include assisting in the following;

  • Conducting market and company research
  • Financial analysis and valuations
  • Producing pitch decks for potential new engagements
  • Producing marketing materials used during a sales process, including Teaser and Information Memorandum
  • Being a key member in the deal execution team, assisting colleagues with day-to-day project related tasks and participating in meetings with clients

Qualifications for the position

  • Bachelor in business, finance, industrial economics or engineering
  • You are comfortable in written and verbal professional communication in English
  • You are comfortable in written and verbal professional communication in Swedish (only for the M&A team)

It is meriting if you have

  • Master's degree is meritorious
  • It is meriting if you have worked up to 2 years at a reputable consulting firm, private equity company, management consultancy firm, investment bank or similar.
  • It is also meriting if you had an internship in accounting or corporate finance
