Job Description

We are looking for a Tech Lead to drive technical excellence within our Forecasting team, while developing a relatively junior group into a cohesive, high performing unit. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with coaching and business alignment, ensuring scalable ML solutions that deliver real value.

About the Role

As a Tech Lead you will be responsible for guiding the team across Data Science, Data Engineering, and MLOps, shaping both ways of working and technical direction. You’ll act as a coach, mentor, and key partner to the business - bridging knowledge gaps and ensuring the team focuses on the right problems.

Key Responsibilities

Coach & develop the team through mentoring, code reviews, pair programming, and structured learning plans

Set technical direction for models, pipelines, and deployment, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions

Strengthening engineering and ML practices including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and reproducibility

Drive agile ways of working and create a predictable delivery rhythm

Translate business needs into ML solutions and proactively identify new high-impact use cases

Ensure delivery of production-ready solutions, balancing short- and long-term needs

Align cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders

Lead by example with hands-on contribution and high-quality code

Skills & Requirements

Solid experience within Data Science, Data Engineering, and/or MLOps, with a broad understanding across the ML lifecycle

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop others, particularly in growing less experienced teams

Experience working with ML models, data pipelines, and production environments

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, versioning, reproducibility)

Experience working in Agile environments and structuring complex, uncertain work

Ability to connect technical solutions to business value and prioritize accordingly
