Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to focus on developing our retailer network and managing regional distributors in designated regions. It will be key to optimizing the opportunity in fresh fruit, with a focus on selling our key categories (while also leveraging our full category offering) in China.

The main priority will be managing co-operation and negotiations with retailers, confirming sell in, promotion, display, & JBP. Manage regional distributor’s in order to keep them following the channel strategy of T&G China.

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager will need to:

  • Deliver and exceed revenue and volume targets by focusing on sales drivers (distribution, visibility, pricing, merchandising/promotions etc).
  • Determine regional short- and long-term route to market strategies to achieve distribution targets by effective, efficient and competitive route to market model.
  • Enhance sales management policies and processes to ensure implementation of sales development strategies.
  • Create an environment where trade investment is constantly traded to optimize spending ratio to deliver targets.
  • Ensure healthy business.
  • Build effective and sustainable partnership with important KA customers and distributors.
  • Start the cooperation with new retailer’s in Region.
  • Negotiate with Retailers to get the best display & assortment.
  • Help Distributors to negotiate the annual contract with Retailers.
  • Sell in new fruit.
  • Keep all the activities consistent with T&G Brand.
  • Find and start cooperation with new fruit distributors.
  • Manage the Distributors, Keep all the T&G promotions and display
    executed. Push the distributors to achieve sales target.
  • Monitor the Inventory, keep the inventory days reasonable.
  • Adjust the distributor’s T&G business to improve the distributor’s ROI.
  • Complete monthly business review and business plan for distributor.
  • Develop new channel and new sub-distributor to improve the assortment of T&G product.
  • Co-operate with and support the wider T&G team.
  • Proactively engage with traders and country export managers in sourcing regions to cooperate and build opportunities for sales programs in China.
  • Communicate relevant industry information with internal and external partners.
  • Actively participate in training/meetings.
  • Demonstrate strong integrity, openness and respect to build a strong team environment within T&G Shanghai.

Skills & Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of proven experience in a sales leadership capacity.
  • Mandatory experience in traditional trade; candidates with combined traditional and modern trade exposure will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in FMCG or within an MNC is strongly preferred.
  • Ideal candidates should possess end-to-end sales experience across multiple prefecture-level cities, or demonstrate full-channel sales management experience within a single province.
  • Proven track record in establishing, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with regional retail chains.
  • Demonstrates a sharp and adaptable mindset, with the ability to navigate complex interpersonal and business situations effectively. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.
  • Highly resilient under pressure, with a willingness to travel frequently as part of the role.
  • Frequent travel is required, with weekly coverage of 2–3 provinces within the assigned regions, including Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hunan, Hubei, and Anhui.
  • English proficiency is not mandatory; however, candidates with good spoken English will have an added advantage.
