We are looking for an Accountant to join Saldo Bank’s finance team in either Helsinki or Turku. In this role, you’ll work as part of a collaborative and low-hierarchy finance team where you’ll have the chance to take ownership, develop your skills, and contribute to improving finance processes.
What will you be doing?
As an Accountant, you will take ownership of Saldo Bank Finland’s day-to-day accounting operations together with the local finance team and international stakeholders across the group. You’ll initially work closely with an external accounting partner during onboarding, after which responsibilities will gradually transition in-house.
Your responsibilities include:
- Daily accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records
- Accounts payable processes, invoice handling, and vendor management
- Cooperation with external payroll partners
- Month-end and annual closing activities
- Supporting audits, tax-related reporting, and regulated finance operations
- Collaborating with treasury, reporting, and planning teams across the organization
- Participating in finance process development projects
We require you to have:
- Relevant educational background in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
- Previous experience from accounting, finance administration, accounts payable/receivable or similar tasks
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial closing processes, audits and tax-related matters
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- Fluent Finnish skills and good English communication skills
- Accurate, detail-oriented and proactive working style
We consider as an asset:
- Previous experience from the banking, fintech or financial services sector
- Experience from an accounting firm environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Strong Excel skills
- Interest in process development and improving ways of working

Practicalities:
This is a full-time and permanent position where you will be employed directly by Saldo Bank. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible. The role can be based either in Helsinki or Turku, and work is done in a hybrid model with approximately three office days per week. Working hours are mainly regular office hours.
Salary ranges between 3300–4500 €/month depending on your previous experience and will be negotiated individually.
