Are you eager to see how your effort is contributing to the advancement of society? Could you be the one who is ensuring that our cutting-edge technology products are safe for end-users?

We are looking for a (Sr.) Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of our Quality Assurance organization for fixed-term period 1.7.2026 – 31.3.2028 in Vantaa, Finland.

What is our core in Murata Finland?

We are developing leading edge gyroscope and accelerometer safety-critical sensors for global automotive, industrial and healthcare markets. We design full custom mixed mode ASICs from concept level to volume production including wafer level testing. Global megatrends, such as digitalization and aging populations, are driving demand for advanced sensing solutions. We see the future full of new opportunities – from robotics and drones to humanoids and other exciting applications.

How about the role?

This role would be a combination of Engineer roles supporting two teams: Account Quality Management and Quality Management Systems. The tasks of this role would be based on the needs of the team at the time. These teams are focusing on ensuring our products meet the high quality and the customer requirements. This is an excellent introduction to Murata Finland Quality Assurance organization and to the ways of working!

In this position we would need you to help us with:

  • Supporting customer reporting (8D) and following the ongoing quality related investigation cases, as well as monitoring the relevant KPIs (PPM, 5D cycle time)
  • Supporting the communication between Murata Finland and Murata Japan locations in the quality related improvement cases, and in e.g. customer survey requests
  • Customer and quality system audits and related assessments
  • Facilitation of the Continuous Improvement Steering group work and activities
  • Facilitation of standard reviews (new ISO9001 version to be released in autumn)
  • Murata´s Quality system documentation updates to ensure the continuous improvement

What do we expect from you?

We appreciate your technical background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering) and experience in the semiconductor or electronics field. Your independent, systematic, and accurate working style, attention to details, and ability to follow the actions to completion is highly valued. Good co-operation and influencing skills are important as much of the work is related to other teams as well.

We value your proficiency in general computing skills. Good English language skills are required, and other language skills such as Finnish, Japanese, Chinese, or German are advantage, but not necessary.

You can be at the beginning of your career or a professional who has already gained more work experience. What matters most is your enthusiastic, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until March 2028, and the starting date is negotiable. We offer a flexible hybrid work culture that supports different ways of working. We will provide comprehensive onboarding of our products, processes, systems, and quality requirements to ensure you have a successful start in the new role.

How about the team?

We are two small quality-oriented teams, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance to quality requirements. As small teams, we can easily adjust and find the best ways to work and cooperate. Account Quality team is bringing the customer voice and ensuring the customer needs and requirements are met. Quality Systems team is ensuring our organization has the best possible tools and methods available to achieve the targets. We are very flexible people, as the environment is forcing us to be able to adapt to the changes around us. We are a good mixture of different kinds of personalities from all around the world. We listen to our internal and external customers with the willingness to always help and support. We deliver on time!
