At WithSecure™, we protect businesses all over the world. Our SaaS solutions safeguard against modern cyber threats, and our innovative Co-security approach reflects our belief that true protection requires collaboration and shared expertise. No one can solve every cyber security problem alone. Our vision is to become Europe’s flagship in cyber security. Every day, our talented teams work to prevent cyber extortion, secure critical infrastructure, and prevent misuse of sensitive data. At WithSecure, it’s our people who make us exceptional – a diverse community that values passion, purpose, and a commitment to workplace well-being. If you’re ready to make an impact with a company that’s transforming cybersecurity, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a rare entry point into senior-level strategic decision-making. As Junior Chief of Staff, you will sit alongside a unit leader — helping shape how they spend their time, how their team executes, and how the unit communicates across the organisation.

This is not a traditional executive assistant role, nor a pure strategy position. It sits deliberately at the intersection: grounding strategic intent in day-to-day execution, while keeping the unit lead free to operate at their highest level. The role is designed for someone ready to accelerate — and who wants to be known for what they deliver, not the title they hold.

This role will report to the Unit Lead but will have a dotted reporting line centrally to the Operations business.

Key Responsibilities

Split across Strategic & Project Work — initiatives, transformation projects, communications and Administrative Support — coordination, scheduling.

What are we looking for?

You combine sharp execution instincts with genuine strategic curiosity. You can write a tight memo in the morning and spot a broken process by the afternoon. Confidentiality is second nature to you, and you know how to influence without authority.

  • Demonstrable career experience with clear evidence of cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to connect day to day with business outcomes
  • Can identify risks, trade-offs and opportunities
  • Ability to constructively and respectfully challenge the status-quo
  • You can operate calmly at a pace, in an ambiguous environment where priorities are constantly shifting
  • Background in project coordination, business operations, or executive support.
  • Exceptional written communication and structured thinking.
  • Discretion and maturity to operate at the C-suite level.

Desirable

  • Experience in tech, SaaS, or B2B environments.
  • Familiarity and curiosity with AI tools and an appetite to embed them into team practices.
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders or leadership teams.
  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong proficiency in AI technologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in applying AI solutions to solve real-world business or technical challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI-driven initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and continuous learning mindset to keep up with evolving AI technologies.

If you don’t tick every box above, don’t worry — we’re more interested in your potential and willingness to learn.

The salary displayed on this page represents the starting point for the role. Final compensation is discussed individually and depends on experience, skills, and the local market.

What you will own

Strategic Execution

  • Drive cadence and follow-through on the unit lead's key priorities and initiatives by leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, coordination and decision-making
  • Track progress against strategic goals and surface blockers early.
  • Prepare briefings, pre-reads, and post-meeting action tracking for GLT, unit LT, and Board sessions.
  • Support the design and delivery of transformation projects.

Culture & Communication

  • Partner with the Director of Change Management to design, embed, and sustain internal communication routines that support the unit's operating rhythm.
  • Translate company-level direction into clear unit-level narrative.
  • Support culture initiatives the unit lead is accountable for.

Ways of Working

  • Identify and embed AI tooling and practices into unit processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and maintain oversight of actions, risks, and dependencies using digital and AI-supported solutions.
  • Bring structure to the 'between the meetings' work: agendas, memos, and action tracking.
  • Partner with relevant teams to land process improvements in the unit's operating rhythm.

Administrative Support

  • Handle confidential correspondence and executive-level communications.
  • Act as a trusted liaison across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare meeting materials and ensure the unit lead is well-prepared for key engagements.

An Honest Note on Fit

This role is not well-suited to someone primarily motivated by a title change or formal seniority step. The value is in what you learn, who you work with, and what you're trusted to own. If you want proximity to real decisions, a network that spans the whole organisation, and a track record that speaks for itself — this is the right move.

This role is intended to create future HiPo’s, establish cross-functional mobility, and improve employer reputation

The Rotation

This is a structured programme, with a level of responsibilities on strategic work as agreed at the start based on your profile.

  • Months 1–2: Onboard, build context, take ownership of communications and support rhythms.
  • Months 3–9: Support strategic initiatives and transformation projects, contribute to culture work and build a meaningful internal network.
  • Months 10–12: Transition planning to alternative unit.
  • Months 13-24: Onboard into unit, lead defined workstreams
  • Months 25 – 36: You will demonstrate you can operate at a genuine strategic level, taking accountability and beginning to build a leadership identity within the business

Beyond Month 36, HR and your Manager will work closely with you on defining a suitable role based on your programme experience, and we will manage this process with you transparently.

What will you get from us

  • Meaningful work with real-world impact – your work helps protect businesses and critical infrastructure from modern cyber threats.
  • Flexible ways of working, including up to 30 days per year working abroad and paid sick leave from day one.
  • A strong focus on well-being, with mental health support and comprehensive benefits.
  • Continuous learning, modern tools, and a people-first culture that values trust and collaboration.
