WHAT YOU WILL DO

As Product Developer, your main contribution will be to develop high-end quality collections for designated product categories in close cooperation with design team and in line with company standards and business goals for quality, cost, sustainability and delivery. You will report to Product Director and play a vital role by:

• Follow development critical path from initial design through to pre-production
• Source, develop and buy materials and accessories and actively work to reach sustainability targets
• Manage and track materials, components and sample purchase orders while maintaining accurate data on pricing, lead-times, minimum quantity, surcharges and special documentation)
• Partner with quality team on quality testing and analysis of raw materials from prototyping to sampling stages
• Make comments on the various proto stages and communicate to suppliers on day-to-day operations
• Enter product data input in internal system PLM and maintain correct information on BOM and product level
• Monitor and respect seasonal development budget
• Maintain balanced communication and a good working process with both internal departments as well as external suppliers to meet all product requirements

Specific experience and knowledge for this role:

• Academic degree, from fashion and or textile education
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a product development role preferably from high-end fashion brands
• Professional knowledge of leather goods and accessories as well as technical manufacturing
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and Italian
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience in PLM is meriting
• Good costing and negotiating skills
