Account Ambassador

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Account Ambassador within our OEM Sales capability. This position reports to the RVOEM Business Director, and will work in Elkhart, IN.

About the position

As an Account Ambassador, your primary focus will be on proactive outbound communication with unassigned customers to drive incremental sales of the segment products. In addition to reaching out to customers across a region, you will also work collaboratively with the outside sales team providing escalation for their assigned accounts. You will connect with colleagues in sales, customer experience, service, supply chain, as well as accounting in pursuit of objectives.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage unassigned accounts within the defined region and segment to achieve objectives related to sales, the promotion of strategic programs and profiling.
  • Support accounts assigned to outside sales team with issues requiring escalation as an internal champion.
  • Engage with customer experience, service, and other functional areas as necessary to address account issues requiring escalation and to support efforts to ensure accounts remain in good standing.
  • Educate accounts about the functionality of our B2B eCommerce platform D4B (Dometic for Business) and the opportunity for self-service.
  • Utilize sales reporting tools to identify opportunities and guide strategic actions.
  • Become technically sound in all product categories and an expert in sales critical feature-benefits.
  • Attend and support strategic events to connect with customers promoting the brand as required.
  • Collect and forecast data on run rates, new business, and lost or altered business.
  • Utilize excellent customer relationship skills to leverage sales and brand awareness through cold calls, events, and customer visits.
  • Support basic troubleshooting requests.
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be solid experience within inside sales – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • High School diploma or GED is required, post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Prior direct sales, either inside or field, is required.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

  • Outstanding communication, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable with exceptional attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Knowledge of RV’s and/or experience with RVing is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and willing to learn new software/systems as introduced.
  • Ability to work under pressure; manage and prioritize activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including creative and logical thinking with great follow-up.
  • Customer oriented mind set.
  • Self-driver, high energy and able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally.
