As CFO you will be a key player in making that impact by leading and delivering on CorPower’s financial and operational strategies.

Responsibilities

As CFO you will oversee our financial strategy, operations and compliance during a time of ambitious growth and development. The CFO will ensure the highest standards of financial management and guide how the company manages revenues, investments, expenses and cash flow to achieve its goals across our operations in Sweden, the UK and Portugal. You should be an expert in operational and strategic finance, with deep knowledge and practical experience in accounting. We are seeking someone passionate about driving full range of activities in a tech startup, from managing high-level growth strategy to the most granular accounting and cost analysis of a complex industrial operation.

You'll be responsible for all finance and accounting functions of the group, including day-to-day financial reporting, working capital/cash management, financial controls and risk management for our parent company in Sweden and subsidiaries in the UK and Portugal. Financial monitoring and control are key parts of your role, defining and reporting on metrics tied to strategy, funding and project delivery in order to maximize the value of CorPower Ocean.

Together with the CEO you will be responsible for the financial forecasting and funding strategies.

You will generate financial models and reports and support the CEO in accurately presenting our business case to investors, lenders and the board of directors. You will also be responsible for due diligence packages to investors and key customers.

Financial reporting and compliance towards our funding entities such as the European Commission frameworks, the Swedish Energy Agency and InnoEnergy is a critical part of your work where project-based accounting systems are used for tracking activities, expenses and budgets for each ongoing project at CorPower Ocean.

For collaborative projects, involving external partners, you’ll oversee our compliance function ensuring that both CorPower Ocean and our consortium partners implement and uphold our top standard financial policies and procedures.

Skills & Requirements


Experience

  • Master’s or bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5-10 years industrial experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, deep-tech environments is qualifying
  • Good knowledge in FAR’s and BFNAR accounting guidelines, with emphasis on K3 accounting for Swedish limited companies.
  • Group level accounting, with financial consolidation of international operations
  • Highly collaborative, able to and interested in interacting with employees at all levels
  • Prior experience from Monitor ERP systems is qualifying, but not a requirement
  • You always strive to finding new insights to improve business performance
