Position Summary:
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and continuous improvement of all Environmental, Health, Safety, Workers’ Compensation, Transportation Safety, EMS, security, and risk management programs across two facilities in close proximity. This role drives the reduction of risk, prevention of injuries, protection of the environment, and overall enhancement of EHS performance.
The EHS Manager ensures full compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. This position leads injury prevention initiatives, environmental compliance programs (including Environmental Management Systems), and regulatory reporting while proactively identifying, resolving, and preventing EHS deficiencies.
The role oversees injury case management and Workers’ Compensation administration, including claims management and return-to-work coordination. In addition, the EHS Manager provides technical safety expertise, supports transportation and vehicle safety programs, oversees site security operations, and serves as a key advisor to plant leadership on risk mitigation strategies.
As a visible safety leader, this individual is responsible for educating and influencing employees at all levels within a diverse work environment, fostering a strong safety culture built on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
By virtue of this key leadership position, the EHS Manager also supports the company’s environmental and social responsibility initiatives, driving measurable progress toward corporate sustainability goals and B Corp certification ambitions.

Physical Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 50 or more pounds. The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
