Position Summary:

The Team Member 2 role within our manufacturing plants supports our overall production team as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
  • Understand Production Schedules and key production data (i.e: lot numbers, SKU’s, etc.) and Ability to understand current production flow and product specifications
  • Ability to recognize inconsistencies per product specifications (i.e: Foreign objects, miss-labeling, etc.)
  • Remove any defects from the produce that are undesirable in the finished product
  • Must execute de-coring/trimming/chopping/mixing based on product specifications
  • Knowledge & understanding of how to maintain a safe work environment
  • Validate that printed labels accurately reflect production work orders
  • Works safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
  • Maintain an uninterrupted flow of packaging and sorting finished goods
  • Clean and trim vegetables per Quality Control development specifications
  • Operate shrink wrap machine (manual/automated) and Operate a hand pallet jack, Manual palletization of finished goods and Manually pack finished goods
  • Communicate verbally & in writing
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GMP’s , Safety Guidelines and HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
  • Reading, Writing, Speaking English Preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule & Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to understand plant KPI’s (production, quality & safety).
  • Ability to be crossed trained & multitask in multiple positions.
  • GED/High School Diploma Preferred.

Physical Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
