Shape the future of one of Norway’s most iconic companies

Hurtigruten is a uniquely positioned Norwegian company with a 130+ year history, operating at the intersection of tourism, transportation and sustainability. Best known for our legendary coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes, we also compete globally in premium travel and cruising.

We are entering an important phase of strategic development: balancing legacy operations with transformation, growth ambitions, and the building of a strong international tourism brand. To support this journey, we are looking for a strategy professional who can help own and drive our strategic agenda.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to move beyond advisory work and take real ownership of strategy, decisions and execution. This Role will report to Chief of Strategy and People (CSPO).

What you’ll do

  • Formulate Hurtigruten’s long-term strategy.
Facilitate development of Hurtigruten’s long-term strategic plan in close collaboration with the CEO, CSPO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead market & competitive analysis
Analyse market dynamics, competitive landscapes and structural trends, translating insights into clear strategic implications, priorities and trade-offs.
  • Connect strategy to execution and monitor progress
Support the group-level OKR process, ensuring strong alignment between strategic priorities and operational execution. Monitor and report progress on strategy implementation and KPI’s, ensuring focus and accountability over time.
  • Own strategic initiatives
Lead selected cross-functional strategic projects—from problem definition through analysis, decision support and implementation.
  • Communicate and anchor strategy
Help articulate strategy clearly and pragmatically, ensuring alignment across leadership and the wider organisation.

About the company
