About the company

BEWI is a leading European provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions. Through a circular business model, we produce raw materials and end goods, while collecting and recycling used materials into new products. Our core offering is circular packaging and energy-efficient solutions for the building sector. We have ambitious targets for profitable growth and to decarbonising customer offering and own operations, supported by innovation, industry partnerships, and our people. With a vision to protect people and goods for a better everyday, we are “leading the change” towards a circular economy.

BEWI’s business is organised in segments: Insulation & Construction (I&C), Packaging & Components (P&C) including Automotive, and Circular.

The Insulation & Construction (I&C) segment manufactures an extensive range of solutions for insulation and infrastructure, as well as systems for the building and construction industry.

The Packaging & Components (P&C) segment Division manufactures standard and customised solutions for many industrial sectors, including boxes for transportation of fish and other foods, protective packaging for fine goods, as well as technical and automotive components.

The Automotive segment manufactures and develops customised, lightweight parts and components of EPP for the automotive and logistics industries.

The Circular segment is responsible for collecting and recycling of used material. The segment offers different solutions for waste management and a range of recycled materials.

1In 1980, we began with fish boxes in Norway. Today, we provide a broad range of resource-efficient, recyclable and recycled products across Europe.

2Every day we provide insulating building systems to the construction industry, a step in reducing CO2 emissions and reaching climate reduction targets.

3We produce 50 million fish boxes each year, ensuring safe transport of 3 billion meals and reducing food waste.

46 million vehicles produced last year include components from BEWI, for excellent protection and safer journeys.

5Last year, we collected and recycled almost 40.000 tons of expanded polystyrene (EPS), equal to approximately 50 million fish boxes.

6Equipping employees for the future is a key priority for us. Our BEWI Business School trains many (future) leaders every year!

7Today, BEWI group has 60 facilities (76 including minorities) in 13 European countries, and approximately 2900 dedicated employees.
