The role
As the Business Applications Lead, you are the driving force behind a future-proof, stable, and innovative business application landscape. You play a crucial role in enabling our organization to perform at its best by ensuring that our applications truly support our operational processes and long-term strategic ambitions.
In this influential position, you are the end-to-end owner of our technical business applications. You translate business strategy into smart, sustainable application solutions and ensure these platforms evolve together with the organization. Working closely with business stakeholders, operational teams, IT colleagues, and external partners, you align priorities and turn complex challenges into clear, value-adding outcomes.

You
You have a strong sense of ownership and feel energized by taking responsibility for platforms that are critical to business success. You are a confident and motivating leader who knows how to guide teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and hold partners accountable.
You feel comfortable operating in complex, enterprise-level application landscapes and have experience navigating organizational change. You combine a pragmatic, hands-on mindset with a strong vision on long-term application stability, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaboration comes naturally to you: you enjoy bringing people together, bridging business and IT, and clearly communicating complex topics to different audiences. You are forward-thinking, adaptable, and eager to keep improving in a constantly evolving digital environment.
Further:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You bring solid experience in application management, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- You have a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and data management principles.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP/SAP or comparable systems in a complex application landscape is a strong advantage.

-We are founded in 1992.
-We introduced our iconic green reusable plastic crates (RPCs) in the 90's, which became a staple in the transportation and storage of fresh produce across Europe.
-In the mid-2000s, we implemented RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology to track and trace our RPCs more efficiently.
-In 2021 we started using the first recycled folding trays.
-We’ve got over 70 service centres all over Europe – you can find us in most countries. So, wherever you are in Europe, our efficient network has got you covered.
-Through new technologies and knowledge, we were able to lower our washing temperature in 2022 which resulted in significant reduction of between 47% and 52% in our gas consumption.
-In 2017 we agreed that we want to reduce our carbon footprint by 20% by 2025 by implementing several improvement projects.
