We're looking for an Engineering Team Lead to manage our Backend Team within Cloud Protection for Salesforce (CPSF) — a fast-growing cybersecurity SaaS product within WithSecure™.

CPSF is a real-time threat protection solution that scans files, URLs, and QR codes across Salesforce workflows — including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Agentforce. It's already trusted by Fortune 500 companies globally, and we're scaling fast. The backend powers the core intelligence of the product: threat detection engines, API integrations, and our security cloud infrastructure running on AWS.

In this role, you'll own both the people and the platform: leading a backend engineering team responsible for the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure and services — while remaining close enough to the code to drive technical quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Backend Engineers — setting goals, supporting growth, and building a culture of ownership and engineering excellence.

• Own the architecture, development, and operation of backend services and APIs that power CPSF's threat detection and data processing capabilities.

• Drive best practices in cloud-native development, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and system reliability on AWS.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed systems issues, diving deep into infrastructure and code when needed.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Front-end teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features.

• Maintain and improve security posture across backend systems, including data handling, access controls, and compliance requirements.

• Champion the adoption of AI tooling and best practices across the team to accelerate delivery and quality.

• Contribute to cross-team planning and help shape the long-term technical direction of CPSF's backend.

What are we looking for?

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in backend systems and cloud infrastructure.

• 5+ years in an engineering management or team lead role, with direct people management responsibility.

• AWS experience — you're comfortable designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on AWS. Experience with services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, or similar is a strong advantage.

• Strong collaboration skills — you work naturally across Product, Architecture, and Front-end teams to move things forward.

• Proficiency with AI tooling and a genuine interest in leveraging it to increase team efficiency.

• Based in Finland (Uusimaa area) — this is a hybrid role with regular time in our Helsinki office.

• Background in cybersecurity is a plus but not required — curiosity and willingness to learn the domain matters most.

• Fluent English — written and verbal.
