Job Description

ICEYE is currently in a rapid growth phase and expanding operations to new countries, and is looking for a HR Operations Specialist to join the team as an additional resource during this exciting stage. This is a temporary position until the end of 2026, with a possibility for an extension depending on the team’s needs. We hope you can start as soon as possible and will proceed with suitable candidates already during the application period. The position will be filled once a suitable candidate is found, so we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later.

In this role, you will have a particular focus on supporting the Finnish entity, while also contributing to global HR Operations as ICEYE continues to expand internationally. The company is actively opening new country entities and scaling operations, which means that day-to-day work requires adaptability and a proactive approach. You will play a key role in ensuring that daily HR operations run smoothly, enabling the core team to focus on strategic growth initiatives.

More specifically, your primary responsibilities are the following:

  • Acting as a main point of contact for employees globally via our ticketing system, handling a wide range of HR inquiries related to benefits, policies, and employee lifecycle events
  • Supporting daily HR operations in Finland, ensuring smooth execution of employee lifecycle processes
  • Providing administrative support and guidance in line with our global people processes, ensuring compliant and consistent ways of working across the countries where ICEYE operates
  • Preparing and managing employee contracts, administering benefits, and maintaining accurate personnel data in our HRIS (Hibob) and other platforms, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Coordinating onboarding activities, supporting new employees’ smooth start, and keeping internal process documentation and knowledge databases up to date
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline, improve, and automate processes in collaboration with the team

We hope you have:

  • Around 2+ years of relevant experience in HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or similar roles, ideally with some exposure to an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of Finnish HR practices and labour law, with international HR experience considered an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in using Google environment tools (Sheets and Slides)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or growing environment is considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English

Most importantly, we hope you are a hands-on and solution-oriented professional who is comfortable working in an environment where things evolve quickly and not everything is fully defined. You are not afraid to ask questions, take initiative, and step in where needed.

What it is in it for you:

  • A great opportunity to gain experience in a fascinating New Space domain in a constantly changing and growing scale-up
  • A role where your contribution has a real impact on enabling growth and supporting daily operations
  • Diverse tasks where your insight is appreciated
  • Working hours that can be flexibly adjusted according to your schedule
  • ICEYE is a growing company with lots of opportunities - Depending on the team’s needs in the future, there may be a possibility for an extension of the contract
  • Cozy office spaces in Otaniemi, Espoo
  • Opportunity to join a diverse, talented, and fun HROperations team

Practicalities:

This role can be either part-time or full-time and is a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026. You will be employed as aTalent employee at ICEYE. Start time in the role is as soon as possible. The role will be located in Espoo, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least a few days per week as part of a hybrid model.
