Main goal

The Event Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the warehousing, shipping and on-site logistics for UEFA EURO 2028 and pre-tournament events.

Key responsibilities

  • Organising all shipments from UEFA’s central warehouse and UEFA headquarters to, from and between venues and the international broadcast centre (IBC), together with the appointed freight forwarders, according to budget
  • Identifying transport synergies and optimising the use of each transport where possible, understanding other stakeholder's constraints and requirements and proposing fully integrated solutions involving several actors within and outside the event organisation
  • Ensuring and executing customs-related steps within the transport workflow, including documentation preparation, process verification and coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Supervising on-site activities at the logistics compounds set up at each venue and the IBC, including space optimisation and finalisation of logistics area maps
  • Planning and supervising all the logistical aspects of the uniforms project (warehousing, uniforms packing by venue team and delivery to the final users)
  • Producing venue delivery guidelines and preparing information workshops for internal stakeholders, partners and suppliers
  • Monitoring the flow of deliveries at venues using the internal Venue Delivery System (VDS)
  • Training on-site Event Logistics staff
  • Gathering needs from internal and external stakeholders and sourcing the handling equipment required at the venues and the IBC

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • from 4 to 6 years of experience in a multicultural business environment, preferably linked to international sports events
  • from 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position ideally in preparing and running cargo logistics operations for large international projects within an organising committee or with a logistics service provider

Education:

  • Bachelor's in event management, project management, logistics or international business

Languages:

  • English / proficient

Other requirements:

  • Relocation to Switzerland/ France is expected
  • Driving license for vehicles up to 3.5t is mandatory
  • Forklift driver certification: Not mandatory but an asset
  • To be considered for the role, you should be able to demonstrate experience in delivering logistics services for major sport events or international organisations
