THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a role with genuine scope and responsibility, you'll be embedded inside a major industrial client's business as the RPO Recruitment Lead — the connective tissue between a fast-moving operation and the talent that keeps it running. You're not an agency recruiter making placements from the outside; you're part of the team, at the table, and accountable for outcomes.

Your portfolio spans electrical and mining construction hiring — high-volume, deadline-driven, and rarely straightforward. The environment is one of continuous change, and you'll be the one who brings stability to it: consistent process, clear reporting, sound advice, and a team that performs reliably even when the ground shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Leading a small team of recruiters day-to-day — coaching, prioritising workloads, and maintaining quality across the portfolio
  • Serving as the primary recruitment partner for senior client stakeholders — guiding, advising, and pushing back when needed
  • Driving and delivering end-to-end hiring across electrical and mining construction disciplines at volume
  • Building and maintaining robust reporting and MI to give the client real visibility over pipeline, time-to-fill, and delivery performance
  • Presenting to senior leaders within the client business on workforce trends, recruitment performance, and strategic recommendations
  • Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the hiring process — proactively, not reactively
  • Maintaining consistency, compliance, and candidate experience standards across the team's work
  • Acting as an agile operator in a dynamic environment — adapting strategy and priorities as business needs evolve

THE TEAM YOU'LL LEAD

You'll have a small team reporting to you. Your role is to set the standard, run the rhythms (weekly catch-ups, pipeline reviews, workload management), develop their capability, and back them when they need it. You're a player-coach — hands-on with your own portfolio while making sure the team delivers as a unit.

Skills & Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience in blue collar or industrial recruitment — you understand the trades and can speak the language of the site
  • Background in RPO, internal, or embedded recruitment (agency recruiters welcome if you've made the jump or are ready to)
  • Experience leading or mentoring a recruitment team, even informally
  • Strong stakeholder advisory skills — confident guiding hiring managers, not just taking briefs
  • Solid reporting and data capability — comfortable building dashboards, tracking metrics, and presenting findings clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume pipelines without dropping the ball on candidate or stakeholder experience
  • Comfortable presenting to, and influencing, senior business leaders
  • Adaptable and unflappable — you find your footing quickly when priorities change
