Legal Trainee – Privacy / Contracts

The Role

We are currently hiring a Legal Trainee - Privacy / Contracts

Are you a law student with a passion for privacy and technology, looking for a meaningful summer traineeship where you can apply your studies in practice? This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute at a fast-growing Finnish technology company with operations across Northern Europe.

You will support our Legal team in day-to-day privacy and contract work, collaborating closely with our Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer (DPO). From day one, you will get genuine exposure to in-house legal work in an international setting and contribute meaningfully to live compliance projects.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a motivated law student who combines solid academic knowledge with practical experience and a genuine interest in privacy and technology law.

  • Currently studying law at a Finnish university, with at least 3 years of studies completed — candidates in the final stages of their degree are particularly encouraged to apply
  • Prior traineeship experience, whether in-house at a company or at a reputable law firm — practical legal exposure before joining is expected
  • A solid understanding of privacy law and data protection principles
  • Experience with contracts is required; knowledge of technology contracts is a clear advantage
  • Good drafting skills in both Finnish and English; reading and writing skills in Swedish are a plus
  • Proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to manage tasks independently, supported by the wider legal team
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate directly with colleagues across departments
