Senior Account Manager

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Senior Account Manager within our Sales capability. This position reports to Director of Sales and will work in Elkhart, IN.

About the position

As a Senior Account Manager, in the Sales team, you will be involved in leading the charge to meet and exceed revenue growth and profitability expectations. You will champion the development and execution of strategic planning to target customer development and new product awareness/introduction aligned with our vision for growth. You will develop strong partnerships within Original Equipment (OE) and aftermarket customers to grow the existing customer base and win new business in targeted new accounts. This is a build not run role. It is an exciting opportunity for a sales hunter with a technical focus to make an impact in a growing business segment.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop strategic sales plan and appropriate tactics and action plans to meet or exceed the divisional sales and profitability goals.
  • Determine the market potential within defined geographic areas; develop and maintain aftermarket channels conducive to maximizing market share, sales, and profits.
  • Coordinate, plan and implement effective sales, marketing and service activities within assigned accounts.
  • Manage key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of each client. Propose tailored solutions that align with customer objectives and leverage Dometic’s product offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the segment, including expanding existing accounts and penetrating new markets. Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with product development, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Collaborate internally to resolve issues and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, and regular reports to leadership. Track key metrics such as revenue, profitability, and market penetration.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Dometic’s products and solutions, as well as competitor offerings. Use this knowledge to position Dometic as a preferred partner for clients.
  • Responsible for tracking customer information. Ensure prompt resolution of any customer issues, coordinating with internal teams to address technical, logistical, or service-related concerns. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional programs, product launches, and events that drive sales. Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events to represent Dometic.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Business Development and Account Management – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • 5+ years in a business development or sales role with the expectation of meeting either sales quota or growth KPIs
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communication or other related field
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making
  • Proficient with MS Excel and willing to learn new software/systems as introduced

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • Self-starter who works well independently
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of RV’s and and/or experience RVing would be considered an asset
