Manager or Senior Manager, FP&A

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our FP&A team in Iași, Romania and play a key role in strengthening financial planning, reporting, and decision support across the organization.
This role combines team leadership, core FP&A process ownership, and active participation in finance transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will partner closely with global finance and business stakeholders to improve financial visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational decision-making.
The role reports to the Director, FP&A and will be instrumental in developing a high-performing FP&A team while helping modernize financial planning processes and systems as part of Basware’s broader finance transformation journey.
Key responsibilities:
·Team leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of FP&A Analysts. Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
·FP&A process ownership: Lead and develop key FP&A processes including management reporting, forecasting and budgeting. Ensure forecasts are accurate, timely, and aligned with business performance and strategic priorities. Drive high-quality financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. Support in future M&A finance integrations.
·Finance and FP&A Transformation: Play an active role in the company’s finance transformation agenda, helping to modernize FP&A processes, systems, and reporting. Drive process standardization, automation, and best practices across the FP&A function championing data-driven approach. Support implementation and optimization of financial planning tools and reporting capabilities.

·Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting tools, and BI/data platforms.
·Fluent in written and spoken English.
·Experience in the SaaS or technology sector is considered an advantage, as is prior experience working in a private equity-backed multinational company.
