We are looking for a Development and Optimization Manager based in our Espoo office.

Our purpose is to secure access to cleaner energy for our customers. We help them navigate the energy transition towards continuously reducing emissions. Our areas of expertise are biogas, liquefied biogas (LBG), natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity markets. We help our customers in navigating the energy market also through managing the risks and benefits of a changing market.

At Gasum, our Renewable Gases Team plays a pivotal role in the sustenance and growth of our business. Our team of ten professionals is responsible for ensuring biogas and renewable gases availability for our customers. Development and Optimization Manager will work as a member of the team being responsible for European-wide sourcing of biogas, managing the sourcing portfolio, and making sure that the quality characteristics of biogas are fulfilled. In addition, the team is responsible for supply chain of biogas related certificates to our customers. We are located in various Gasum offices in the Nordic countries.

Growing biogas demand requires more skilled people to develop and optimize the ways of working, processes and business models to support high business performance. As Development and Optimization Manager your task is to further develop, implement and optimize biogas related business processes aiming at high business performance levels. In concrete terms you will lead and implement as an initiative owner several strategic initiatives with support of team consisting of Gasum's personnel from various parts of the organization.

Main responsibilities in the role are:

• Support development of optimal sourcing strategy for low cost and high flexibility
• Support development of portfolio structure and pricing of renewable gases products towards sales
• Perform various analysis to support business initiatives
• Driving forward strategic initiatives/development projects within renewable gases
• Development of related tools
• Developing, analyzing and optimizing operational processes·
• Following, analyzing and understanding the market and regulatory impact to it

What we expect from you:

• Relevant university degree with MSc/MBA or equivalent
• More than five years of diverse experience managing development projects in a variety of commodity/energy/financial duties
• Interest towards energy sector
• Experience of setting up of development project management & steering capabilities
• High level of understanding complex and interlinked business processes, strong analytical and quantitative skills, combined with a hands-on approach risk management and optimization practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, aim for results and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Well familiar with legal, commercial and risk aspects connected to sourcing
• Good written and verbal communication in English
• Experience with gas and sustainability related activities is of high value.
