Are you our new colleague in our M&A Integration & Carve-out team?
We are looking for a junior consultant to join our Gothenburg office, with a start date in January 2027.
The M&A Integration and Carve-out team help clients identify the potential of a proposed transaction and ensure that they realize the full value of the transaction through structured transformation of business operations.
Our projects are often international, and you will have the opportunity to work in teams with experienced consultants and industry experts, giving you exposure to client management teams. Our clients come from a variety of industries, being both large industrial companies and Private Equity firms. In addition, we join forces with PwC Corporate Finance, Management Consulting and Strategy& to offer our clients end-to-end solutions.
In short, we are helping some of the world’s leading companies across industries to originate, create, execute, and realise value from their deals.
Our focus areas are primarily:
- Operational Due diligence (buy-side & sell-side)
- Synergy assessments
- Structuring, running and project managing M&A integrations and separations in connection with company acquisitions or carve-out during divestments
- Support throughout the process of Initial Public Offering (IPO)
This means that we advise and support our clients throughout the entire deals cycle when they plan, prepare, and execute M&A related activities.
Your main tasks
- Support in project management of integration and carve-out projects
- Produce due diligence reports with an operational and financial perspective
- Build data books with operational and financial information
- Create presentations for clients and client proposals

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications for the position
- Master’s degree in business and economics, engineering or equivalent or a bachelor's degree paired with significant relevant experience
- Great academic results
- Experience from work and/or internships alongside your studies
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in Swedish is beneficial
- Experience from Microsoft Office tools
We would prefer if you have
- Worked to some extent at a reputable consulting firm, private equity company, management consultancy firm, investment bank or similar alongside your studies
- Experience from studies or internships abroad

You enjoy collaborating with others, and you contribute with your collaborative skills and constructive approach. You possess solid analytical abilities, can grasp and manage complex issues, and enjoy solving problems. Having a curious, growth-oriented mindset and a friendly, personable demeanor will help you do well in this role.

Recruitment Process
As part of the selection, we use psychometric tests to ensure an objective, unbiased, and fair selection. The assessments include a personality test and a deductive reasoning test. The tests are the first step in our selection process. You will receive a link to these tests after we have received your application.
We value the personal meeting to understand the value you can bring to PwC and what we can offer you. The interview process usually consists of multiple stages and various types of interviews. When meeting with HR, you will have a competency-based interview where we examine the personality test you completed before the interview.
