As Director, Industrial Platform Solutions, you are responsible for the overall leadership and development of this competence area. The role combines strong business ownership, a hands‑on understanding of industrial customers, and deep expertise in industrial digital platforms with the ability to build and lead a scalable, profitable service business in complex industrial environments.

The Industrial Platform Solutions competence area focuses on the digitalization of industrial customers’ production and R&D environments by utilizing modern IT and OT platforms, industrial software, data and AI solutions, as well as secure and scalable data and integration architectures. Key areas include, among others, ERP, MES, MOM, PLM, and SCADA environments, the industrial data platform layer, IIoT solutions, smart factory and production system integrations, as well as industrial AI and analytics solutions.

The role is located in our Espoo or Tampere office, and follows our flexible hybrid working model. Due to the nature of the position, visible presence in everyday office work and readiness to travel between Etteplan and customer locations are expected.

Your key responsibilities

• You are responsible for the continuous development of Industrial Platform Solutions service offering, value propositions, and capabilities in order to meet the changing needs of industrial customers in R&D and production environments. You will work in close collaboration with relevant Etteplan colleagues.
• You lead the service delivery and delivery capability of the competence area, ensuring high quality, customer satisfaction, delivery reliability, and cost efficiency across the entire delivery chain.
• You carry full profit and loss responsibility for the competence area, including revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
• You are responsible for building, developing, and engaging a competent and motivated expert and managerial organization, as well as for the systematic development of the competence area’s capabilities.
• You play an active role in sales and customer work and engagement, own key customer relationships, and participate in the strategic development of customer solutions, proposals, and partnerships together with Sales and BU management.
• You are a key contributor in the strategic development of Etteplan’s Software & Embedded Solutions business as well as industrial digitalization and AI growth areas.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have

• A relevant university degree
• A strong background working with industrial customers and the software platforms and technologies used in their R&D and production processes, such as ERP, MES, MOM, PLM, SCADA, IIoT, and industrial integrations
• A deep understanding of modern data and AI solutions, including industrial data platforms, analytics, AI/ML solutions, and their business utilization
• Experience in leading service and consulting businesses, including P&L responsibility and building profitable growth
• Proven experience in sales and customer relationship development, especially in building value-based solutions for industrial customers
• Experience in leading expert and managerial organizations, competence development, and driving change
• A strategic and business-oriented mindset, with the ability to combine technological understanding with commercial objectives
• Excellent collaboration, interaction, and communication skills, and the ability to work naturally with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Success in this role requires the ability to build productive collaboration also across Etteplan’s internal stakeholders, and therefore strong experience in cross-organizational collaboration is expected.
