The newly established Mobile Cooking business unit is part of Dometic Outdoor Standalone segment and marks an exciting evolution of the company CADAC, acquired in January 2022. The Mobile Cooking business unit is now the driving force behind the development, marketing, and sales of innovative mobile cooking appliances and accessories—primarily serving the EMEA region.

This role is based in Duiven, The Netherlands, close to the German border, where you’ll join a vibrant team of nearly 30 colleagues working in a collaborative and informal environment. Together with our teams in the UK, South Africa, and China, the Mobile Cooking family totals around 50 passionate professionals.

About the position

As Operations Manager, you are responsible for the complete operational process across Europe: from supply chain and warehousing to Customer Service and Technical Services. You lead a team of approximately 10 FTE and collaborate closely with logistics partners, internal teams, and our 3PL networks across Europe.

Your main responsibilities

Operational leadership

  • Develop and execute the European operations strategy.
  • Lead the S&OP process and strengthen cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Build scalable processes and systems for new market growth.
  • Define and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, order cycle time, freight cost per unit, and inventory turnover.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Initiate digitalization of supply chain visibility and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with EU legislation, including correct HS classifications.

Strategy & Process Optimization

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve efficiency and cost structure.
  • Develop sustainable logistics initiatives and CO₂ tracking.
  • Coordinate annual container forecasting and strategic planning.

Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Optimize inventory levels across multiple European warehouses.
  • Coordinate logistics activities in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
  • Manage 3PL partners and transport networks, including tender processes.
  • Oversee data and budget processes.

Customer Service & (Technical) Services

  • Professionalize and structure the Services team.
  • Optimize claim, warranty, and returns processes.
  • Improve ticket handling, service performance, and review management.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within supply chain and logistics as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, and stock management.
  • Experience leading international, cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven track record in change management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain or similar.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Strong SAP Business One or comparable ERP knowledge and excellent Excel skills.
