We are currently hiring Full-Stack Engineer (React + Python/FastAPI)

Your mission at Epassi

Your mission is to design, build, and enhance full-stack systems that power our customer portal and internal tools. As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll shape both frontend and backend experiences, ensuring our platform is scalable, reliable, and intuitive. Your work will directly improve how employees interact with their benefits and help us deliver a seamless user experience.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Own the design and implementation of the self-service customer portal (frontend and backend).
  • Build and maintain REST APIs that power the platform and integrations.
  • Design, optimize, and manage relational databases to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Integrate with third-party partner APIs to extend platform functionality.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to define, scope, and deliver new features.
  • Work with DevOps engineers to improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to improving the tech stack, architecture, and development processes.

What you’ll be doing (daily)

  • Designing and implementing frontend features using modern frameworks.
  • Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs.
  • Enhancing user experience through close collaboration with UI/UX designers.
  • Managing integrations with external systems and APIs.
  • Monitoring, optimizing, and improving system performance and scalability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Troubleshooting and solving technical challenges proactively.

What you should bring

  • 3+ years of experience in frontend development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Hands-on experience with frameworks like React, Next.js, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python development.
  • Experience with Python web frameworks (FastAPI preferred, Django or Flask).
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of testing concepts and frameworks (TDD).
  • A proactive, hands-on problem-solving mindset.

  • Delivered end-to-end full-stack features or systems.
  • Contributed to improving architecture, scalability, or engineering practices.
  • Experience working across both frontend and backend domains.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and driving technical improvements.
  • Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
