Norwegian Copywriter – Global Brand & Creative

For over 130 years, Hurtigruten has sailed the Norwegian coast – connecting communities, carrying locals and welcoming travellers from around the world.

We are rooted in Norway. Our stories come from its coastline, its landscapes and the people who live here. As we sharpen our communications in the Norwegian and Nordic markets, we are looking for a Norwegian copywriter to help us tell those stories with authenticity and flair.

This is a midweight copywriting role based in Oslo, working 50% with our global content team and 50% supporting the Nordic. Hurtigruten is a Norwegian company with a global audience. While our stories originate from Norway, much of our marketing is developed in English to reach international travellers. As Copywriter for our Norwegian market, you will help to bridge that balance, ensuring our global campaigns and website content feel natural, relevant and compelling for the Nordic market as well as writing original content in Norwegian. This is not just translation – it is localisation, adaptation and cultural fluency.

You will also act as our in-house Norwegian voice – sense-checking language, shaping stories and identifying opportunities to spotlight people, places and perspectives from across Norway.

About the company

EmissionsCurbing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is crucial if we are to keep global warming in check. We know that the travel industry has work to do reducing its impact on the climate, so we’ve set out ways we can make a real difference by focusing on concrete, measurable solutions.
