As Senior Purchasing Engineer, you will be responsible for purchasing activities related to vehicle development projects, from early concept phase through production. You will work extremely close to engineering, production, and suppliers, securing technically advanced and cost‑effective solutions in a highly innovative environment.

This role requires a hands‑on, commercially sharp, and technically curious person who thrives in an organization with short decision paths and high expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead purchasing activities for vehicle and technology development projects from concept to series production
  • Drive supplier sourcing, RFQs, evaluations, and contract negotiations
  • Work closely with engineers to challenge and optimize technical solutions from a cost, feasibility, and risk perspective.
  • Secure cost targets, lead‑time requirements, and quality expectations in a low‑volume, high‑complexity environment
  • Manage supplier relationships and act as the commercial interface in project teams
  • Handle tooling, development cost, and piece‑price negotiations
  • Identify supply risks and proactively drive mitigation actions
  • Support cost break‑downs, VA/VE initiatives, and make‑or‑buy discussions
  • Ensure purchasing decisions align with Koenigsegg’s innovation, quality, and sustainability ambitions

Skills & Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or similar
  • Senior‑level (minimum 7 years) experience in project purchasing within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or other high‑performance engineering industries
  • Strong understanding of technical products and complex manufacturing processes
  • Proven negotiation experience with international suppliers
  • Experience working in development‑driven, low‑volume environments is highly valued
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid cost analysis capability
