The Role
As ESG Controller, you will support and drive Food Folk’s sustainability performance through a data driven way of working. You will play a key role in establishing, managing, and analysing ESG data to support strategy development, target setting, performance monitoring, reporting, and legally required disclosures.
This role is central to strengthening Food Folk’s sustainability agenda by turning complex data into clear insights and practical actions. You will work closely with the Impact team, internal subject matter experts, and selected external stakeholders to build a structured, reliable, and efficient approach to sustainability data and performance management.
You are curious, proactive, and highly structured, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make complex matters tangible and relevant for different stakeholders.
The position reports to the Impact Director, based in Copenhagen.

You are comfortable working with financial and non financial data and know how to create structure in an area that continues to evolve. You combine analytical strength with a collaborative approach and enjoy working across teams and disciplines.
We imagine that you have:
Experience within sustainability, ESG reporting, CO2 accounting, CSRD, SAP, or Product Lifecycle Management systems is an advantage, but not a requirement.
A BA or MA in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.

McDonald’s have approximately 20.000 employees in around 430 restaurants, delivering a great restaurant experience to their guests. Most of the McDonald’s restaurants are owned and operated by local franchisees.
Food Folk Group owns the licensee rights for McDonald’s in the Nordics since 2017 and will join the journey to develop McDonald’s. The Nordic headquarter organization consists of around 220 colleagues. The organization is built on a matrix structure, where about half of the employees are working locally in one of their four markets and half are working in Nordic functions.
