Are you a hands-on AI/ML expert ready to take a production system to the next level? Eminus Industries is now looking for a skilled AI/ML Engineer to strengthen our growing team of experts.

What will you be working on?

You will work on StoreSense AI, our production-ready computer vision analytics solution for the retail sector. The system improves safety and operational efficiency by detecting incidents such as theft or misplaced items directly from security camera feeds. Now, as we enter the commercial phase, we are looking for a skilled AI/ML engineer to take ownership of scaling the solution, improving performance, and extending its AI capabilities.

The platform processes large volumes of live and recorded video data in real time, where reliability, performance, and architectural clarity are essential.

Tech stack: Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, ONNX, TensorRT, MLOps, FFmpeg, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS and KInesis Video Streams, with a gradual transition toward hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

Your responsibilities:

In this role, you will own the AI/ML domain end-to-end: from designing and training new models to deploying them into production and continuously improving performance. You will work closely with another AI engineer and a small, experienced product team, contributing hands-on while shaping the technical direction of the AI stack.

You will also have the opportunity to act as a technical lead through your work — guiding decisions, mentoring others, and influencing how the product and AI capabilities evolve, without formal people management responsibility. This is a path you can grow into if it interests you, but first and foremost, we are looking for a deeply hands-on AI/ML expert.

We require you to have:

• Strong background in AI, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision
• Senior-level, hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering and developing production-grade systems end-to-end
• Experience building ML training pipelines and infrastructure from scratch, and deploying models to production at scale (MLOps)
• Experience designing and developing custom neural network architectures
• Have a full working proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

• Experience working with image, video, or real-time data, combined with a strong understanding of large-scale data pipelines and high-volume data processing
• Experience working across cloud (AWS) and on-premise environments
• Experience in a technical leadership role

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed directly by Eminus Industries. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible. The role is based in Otaniemi, Espoo, and we hope you can work on-site weekly as part of a flexible hybrid model. Please note that the selected candidate must be willing to undergo a security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (Supo). Salary ranges between 6500-9000 €/month (gross) and will be negotiated individually based on your experience.
