Bookkeeper Role:
As a full-cycle Bookkeeper you will be supporting a complex nonprofit organization with multiple funding streams, including federal, state, and private funds.
You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and organization across programs requiring both attention to detail and the ability to manage moving parts across the business.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Support month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes
Track and allocate expenses across multiple funding sources and programs
Assist with grant tracking and fund accounting
Ensure compliance with federal and state funding guidelines (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200)
Post payroll data from external provider and allocate payroll/benefits across funding sources
Prepare and maintain documentation (W-9s, 1099s, audit support, etc.)
Provide general administrative/accounting support as needed

Bookkeeper Background Profile:
Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit accounting organization
Exposure to grants and/or public funding (federal, state, or similar)
Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping
Familiarity with financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L / Statement of Activities)
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Comfortable working in a role with variety and shifting priorities
Knowledge of grant compliance/regulations (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200) is preferred
Experience using QuickBooks (or similar accounting systems) is preferred
Exposure to multi-program or multi-entity environments is preferred
