Ready to take the lead in high-stakes offshore operations around the world?

As our Lead Field Engineer, you’ll be at the center of delivering mission-critical termination activities—whether it’s a one-off project or a full multi-pipe Jumpers On Demand (JoD) campaign. You’ll be the expert on deck during (trans)spooling, TCP installations, and repair scopes, ensuring our operations run safely, smoothly, and to the highest technical standards.

In this role, you lead onsite teams, uphold top-tier procedural and safety standards, interface directly with clients, and ensure flawless execution in the field.

Based in IJmuiden, The Netherlands, you’ll also own the readiness of all Field Service equipment—overseeing maintenance, upkeep, and mobilization. Beyond field operations, you’ll help elevate our capabilities by driving equipment upgrades, improving procedures, supporting testing programs, and contributing to training and continuous improvement initiatives across the Field Service Group.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead global end-fitting operations—from single-pipe jobs to full JoD campaigns—while overseeing critical on/offshore witnessing and repair activities.
  • Be the face of our operations onsite, confidently interfacing with clients and staying ready to deploy worldwide at short notice.
  • Champion safety and quality, driving high standards across every offshore, onsite, and homebase activity.
  • Own the mobilization process, ensuring equipment readiness, logistics, stock control, and personnel/visa arrangements run seamlessly.
  • Report with clarity, drive improvements, and shape our procedures by turning field lessons into smarter, stronger operations.

Skills & Requirements

Skills:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ hands-on experience in installation, onsite fabrication, or engineering—ideally with offshore or remote-site exposure.
  • Proven track record in mobilizing technical equipment for overseas Oil & Gas operations.
  • Comfortable working away from home, sometimes for several weeks.
  • Strong documentation skills, capable of producing clear operational procedures and professional internal/external reports.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) and a sharp safety-first mindset.
  • A self-driven, reliable team player who works independently and contributes positively to team performance.
