That is why we are now looking for a Strategic AI Partner Manager to help us build this future. You will focus on AI partnerships laying the foundation for our future position in agentic commerce, and "beyond payments" collaborations including loyalty and benefits. This is a newly created role with broad scope and real opportunity to shape how we build and grow our ecosystem.

You will be part of a small team of Strategic Partnership Managers. To succeed, you will need to be just as strong internally as externally, bringing colleagues in product, legal, compliance and commercial along with you, and navigating a complex stakeholder environment to get things done.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify and prioritise strategic partnership opportunities within AI and new ecosystem areas aligned with our long-term direction.
  • Help shape how we work with non-traditional partners, including developing new effective partnership models and frameworks.
  • Structure and negotiate partnerships, from commercial agreements to co-development and data collaborations, balancing innovation with compliance and business goals.
  • Drive internal alignment across product, legal, compliance and commercial to move partnerships from concept to execution.
  • Represent Vipps MobilePay externally, building strong relationships and positioning us as a trusted and innovative partner.
  • Build and manage a small portfolio of high-impact partnerships, with a focus on new and experimental ways of collaborating.
  • Own the commercial performance of your partnerships, set clear goals, track results and communicate impact clearly to leadership.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience from business development, partnerships or strategic sales, ideally in tech, fintech, media, retail or platform and marketplace businesses.
  • Solid relationship-building and negotiation skills, with experience driving complex collaborations from idea to execution.
  • An understanding of the AI landscape and how partnerships can enable more personalised experiences, conversational commerce and new interaction models.
  • Ability to manage and influence a wide range of internal stakeholders including product, legal and commercial teams.
  • Evidence of entrepreneurial thinking: you spot opportunities others overlook, move without being asked, and are comfortable with the uncertainty that comes with building something new.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the presence and credibility to operate at senior levels both externally and internally.
