We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate sales representative for our Vehicle Outfitters business.

Position Objective

Drive sales growth and expand market presence for vehicle modification and accessory equipment across the assigned region. This role is focused on building strong relationships with vehicle outfitters, fleet operators, and OEMs while providing expert consultation on product configuration and application.

Success will be measured by the ability to secure new accounts, meet sales targets for outfitting solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service through deep product expertise and problem-solving skills.

Your main responsibilities

    Sales Development:​

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with vehicle body builders, 4x4 workshops, fleet companies, and distributors.
    • Achieve aggressive sales growth targets within the vehicle aftermarket and OEM sectors.
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers through a consultative sales approach.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and maximize market penetration.

    Product Consultation & Support:​

    • Provide expert advice on product application, including compatibility, load capacity, and installation requirements for various vehicle chassis.
    • Assist clients in configuring tailored outfitting solutions (e.g., racking systems, lighting, and safety equipment) based on their operational needs.
    • Troubleshoot basic technical inquiries and coordinate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
    • Conduct product training and demonstrations for customers and sales partners.

    Customer Engagement:​

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for sales inquiries and order management.
    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and consistent follow-up.
    • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and inventory planning.
    • Administrative & Compliance Support:​
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
    • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and contractual standards.

Skills & Requirements

Specialist Knowledge and Skills:​

  • Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English, with basic conversational ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Strong background in the automotive aftermarket, specifically vehicle accessories, modification, or heavy-duty equipment.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, including 12V/24V electrical systems, chassis structures, and load ratings.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., E-mark, DOT) is highly desirable.

Core Competencies:​

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present Dometic products clearly and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on customer-centered solutions.
  • Ethical, trustworthy, and accountable in all business dealings.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset and passion for the automotive industry.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:​

  • Tertiary qualifications in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales within the automotive, vehicle outfitting, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Established network of contacts in the vehicle modification or fleet management industry.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle installation or mechanical work is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to accommodate extensive travel (approximately 70% during the first six months, reducing to around 50% thereafter).
