Responsibilities

  • Primary owner of data management and HMI/SCADA of our wave farm systems
  • Develop and test systems for: logging, database, post processing, visualization and automated report generation. These are located on device level, land servers and cloud services
  • Define requirements and test specifications for third party solutions;
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and test cases from concept to certified products
  • Develop and implement trending and condition-based monitoring functions
  • Analyse and report large data sets from dry test and ocean deployment campaigns
  • Specify middleware architecture with protocols such as OPC-XML, OPC-UA or custom
  • Evolve our architecture of local data storage on device level, data aggregation on farm level and interfacing with global SCADA systems of our customers
  • Manage data links at WEC and farm level, opt. including com. protocols and hardware
  • Opt. specify network equipment, including security aspects
  • Manage your activities to meet performance, schedule and budget targets
  • Produce systems documentation, operations and maintenance manuals and
  • Support pilot installations in the field
Skills & Requirements

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a software/data engineer/systems administrator, preferably from development of data management solutions for large sets of data for advanced machinery. You have a broad technical knowledge and genuine interest in software development where you want to work with leading edge technology. Combining effective clean code with advanced mechanics and electronics into robust systems makes you happy. Experience from similar data storage, aggregation and SCADA/HMI solutions in adjacent sectors such as wind or solar energy is qualifying. It is also qualifying with experience from JavaScript, HTML5, Linux environments, as well as managing servers, databases and network equipment. Experience with CI/CD would be a bonus. You may have an advanced degree, but your personality, experience and interest in the field is the most important. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
