System Engineer – Hydraulic Actuation & Power Shift Modules

As a System Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced transmission systems, working on high-impact projects in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

You play a key role in translating system-level requirements into robust, high-performing solutions, ensuring seamless integration between mechanics, hydraulics, and control systems.

Your challenge

You are involved throughout the full system development lifecycle — from concept to validation — and contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement of existing systems.

In this role, you will:

• Translate product-level requirements into system and subsystem specifications, architectures, and technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance by following up on requirements and managing Critical-to-Function (CTF) parameters.
• Take ownership of technical decision-making, ensuring clear communication across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Perform system-level validation and testing within the V-cycle, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance.
• Analyze, model, and simulate system behavior to validate performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, hydraulic, and materials engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (8D, QRQC) across development, production, and aftersales phases.
• Contribute to FMEA, risk assessments, and design reviews to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Support the development of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements.
• Prepare and maintain clear, structured technical documentation and specifications.

Your expertise

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a system engineering role, preferably within an automotive or high-tech environment.
• Strong background in mechanical engineering (design & manufacturing), with the ability to connect this to software and control strategies.
• Experience with system engineering methodologies and tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Minitab, CANape, and requirement management tools (e.g. Polarion).
• Solid understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5W2H, and Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with clear communication abilities.
• Fluent in English.
