Summer Academy is Sievo’s summer internship program-successfully hosted for years in our Helsinki office and now brought to our growing Bucharest office.

Data Engineering Specialist

Curious about how customer data gets into an analytics product, this role is for you- you’ll build the “data highways” that bring procurement data into Sievo reliably, securely, and ready for reporting and insights.

In this role you will:

• Help connect customer data sources (cloud& on-prem ERPs) to Sievo by building data integrations and migrations.
• Work with your team and customers to understand what data is needed and how it should flow (integration requirements).
• Build and maintain data pipelines using tools like Azure, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SSIS, and Sievo’s integration tools.
• Investigate data issues (e.g., missing fields, format changes), find the root cause, and help fix them.
• Document what you build so others can support it, reuse it, and scale it.
• Nice to have (not required): Interest in automation/ETL, Python, intermediate SQL, and curiosity about Azure/cloud basics.

Data Enrichment Specialist

Love working with data and making it clean, structured, and meaningful-this role is for you. You’ll turn raw procurement/spend data into something customers can trust for analysis and decision-making.

In this role you will:

• Turn messy data into clear structure: categorize purchases (spend classification) and group suppliers under the right parent company (supplier parenting).
• Work with large datasets: spot patterns, fix inconsistencies, and make sure the data tells the correct story.
• Use AI-supported enrichment tools to speed up and standardize the work-then review, validate, and fine-tune results for accuracy and consistency.
• Keep recurring weekly/monthly processes running smoothly and validate new data against historical values.
• Suggest improvements to how we work and help us increase speed and quality in enrichment processes and software.

Data Management Specialist

Enjoy combining analytical thinking with clear communication? This role is a strong match. You’ll work with real client data, solve data challenges, and work directly with customers, collaborating with project teams when needed.

In this role you will:

• Analyze large volumes of client spend data across suppliers and categories and turn it into reliable structured data.
• Deliver high-quality spend classification and supplier parenting outputs.
• Investigate data issues, propose solutions, and work with teammates/software developers to resolve them.
• Communicate with clients by email and join client meetings when needed-so you’ll learn how data work connects to real business needs.
• Keep your team updated on progress and help prioritize tasks based on what the client needs most.
• Contribute ideas that improve our tools and ways of working-faster handling, better quality, smoother workflows.
• Speak up and challenge the status quo-we believe growth comes from questioning things.

Solution Consultant

Want a role that mixes business understanding with hands-on analytics and configuration? You’ll help shape how customers use Sievo-making sure the solution fits their needs and delivers real value.

In this role you will:

• Learn how customers use procurement analytics and what they need from the product (together with the customer and your team).
• Configure and shape Sievo solutions so users in procurement/finance get clear value.
• Work hands-on with SQL, QlikSense, and Sievo’s application tools to build views, logic, and user-facing outputs.
• Stay in touch with customer “super users” and project teams to spot opportunities, improve adoption, and add value.
• Nice to have (not required): Experience with-or motivation to learn QlikSense and SQL.

What we’re looking for (all roles)

It’s great if you:

• Are in the mid-to-final stages of studies in IT, Technology, Business, Engineering, or other related studies.
• Have fluent English skills, as English is our working language.
• Have the courage to question things: we believe growth comes from challenging the status quo.
• Want more than “just a summer internship”: you want a place to learn, grow, and feel like you belong.
